New Life All Around Us
Summary: Nature reminds us how much we need each other.
Walking through Miner’s Ravine this week, I’m reminded of resurrection and rebirth. Everywhere I look, there are new wildflowers popping up and reaching to the sun. They unfurl in an act of God’s creation that we experience repeatedly.
They can’t rise alone, however. In nature, living things thrive by depending on all the living and non-living things around them.
Imagine how our society of humans would thrive if we followed their lead, understanding and behaving as if we are a community of beings whose very lives depend on the lives of others. No one is worthless or expendable in this ecosystem of life that sustains us.
