Living the Story of Christ: An Invitation into Holy Week

April 13th – April 20th

Summary: Join us Holy Week as we walk with Jesus through his final days, from the Last Supper to the Resurrection, with meaningful worship services and joyful celebration.

As Christians, we live the story of Christ by remembering and participating in the significant moments of Jesus’s life. We do this through the sacred rhythms of the church year.

Now, as we prepare to enter Holy Week—the most sacred time in the Christian calendar—we are invited to walk with Jesus through the final days of his earthly life: his suffering, death, and resurrection. These days are not merely history; they are a sacred path we walk again and again, allowing Christ’s story to shape our hearts and lives.

What Is Holy Week?

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and leads us through the events of Jesus’s final week. The last three days—Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday—are called the Triduum, a three-day spiritual journey from the Last Supper to the Resurrection.

You are warmly invited to join us for each of these holy days:

Palm Sunday – April 13th

10:00 a.m. Worship

We begin Holy Week with joy and reverence, celebrating Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. As we wave palm branches, we proclaim him our King—even as we journey with him toward the cross.

Maundy Thursday – April 17th

6:00 p.m. Worship with Traditional Liturgy & Foot Washing

On this sacred night, we remember the Last Supper, when Jesus washed his disciples’ feet and gave us the gift of Holy Communion. This moving service invites us into humility, love, and deep community.

Good Friday – April 18th

12:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross

Walk prayerfully through Jesus’s final hours in this meditative, contemplative service.

6:00 p.m. Traditional Good Friday Liturgy

We remember the day Jesus was arrested, tried, crucified, and buried. The tone is solemn, but the grace is abundant.

Holy Saturday / The Great Vigil of Easter – April 19th

5:00 p.m. Easter Vigil with Baptism & Reception (Champagne Included!)

We begin in darkness and light the new fire of Easter, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus with joy and awe. This is the first celebration of Easter, and it includes baptisms, beautiful readings, and a joyful reception with champagne. Come and toast to new life!

Easter Sunday – April 20th

10:00 a.m. Easter Celebration Service

Christ is Risen! Join us for a festive worship service filled with music, celebration, and the good news of resurrection.

11:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt

All families and children are invited to a fun and festive Easter Egg Hunt on the church grounds.

Holy Week is more than a series of events. It is a sacred invitation to walk with Christ and be transformed by his love. Whether you are joining us for the first time or have made this journey many times before, I hope you will come and experience the mystery and joy of Holy Week with us.

With blessings and anticipation,

Pastor Anny+
