Why does St. Augustine Church need this ministry?

The Events ministry provides various ways to invite people to experience our St. Augustine family.  We support the needs of our community, growth in our faith journeys, raise money for Church programs and make a positive difference in the world.  There are many events each year: social, spiritual, outreach, fundraising and all of them are packed with new friends and FUN!!

What do team members do?

  • Plan events, food, decorations, themes, logistics etc.

  • Publicize, sell tickets, get donations, recruit help

Suggested Skills:

  • Collaboration –connect with other ministries

  • Creativity -- new ideas always welcome

  • Recruiting abilities – inviting others to participate

  • Resourcefulness – finding resources, researching options

  • Publicity – in variety of media

  • Cheerfulness – a winning attitude encourages others

  • Prayerful – knowing that God is really in charge

  • Communication – share your vision with others

  • Will vary with event, some evening meetings
